Cultural Diversity Week is a time to come together as a community to celebrate our multicultural journey and to share personal stories of our cultural heritage and identity.
This year there were many ways to get involved and connect with us through the theme – ‘Our journey, Our stories’.
Share your story
We asked Victorians to share the story of their cultural heritage and identity on social media to help reveal our similarities and celebrate our differences. Find out more.
VMC Film Festival
A new addition to the program, the Victorian Multicultural Commission (VMC) Film Festival asked young Victorians to share their perspectives on multiculturalism through the power of film.

Primary School Art Competition
A long running tradition of Cultural Diversity Week, the Primary School Art Competition engages our youngest Victorians to use their imagination to tell us what multiculturalism means to them through the theme ‘What’s your multicultural story?’ See the work of finalists from this year's competition. Find out more.
Host an event
They say there's no more powerful way to get to know someone than by sharing personal stories or experiences. For Cultural Diversity Week 2017, we asked Victorians to host their very own event and provided event resources and ideas.
